Each edition will feature 6–8 choreographers, each creating one original work with a cast of professional and pre-professional dancers. Every edition will introduce new choreographers and original choreography, presented exclusively for NewWorks. The evening will conclude with an interactive artist session featuring a Q&A with the choreographers, reflections on the creative process, and the presentation of scholarship awards by participating choreographers.
Dancers participate by registering through the choreographer for whom they wish to perform.

The participation fee is paid directly to the choreographer as their creative budget, empowering artists to create original work, be fairly compensated for their craft, time, efforts, and generate meaningful performance opportunities for dancers.
Each choreographer may also award up to two dancers with a full or partial scholarship toward future training within their own classes, workshops, or programs.
Platform Fee
To support the production and presentation of NewWorks, 15% of each choreographer’s creative budget is retained by the host to cover platform and event costs, including venue production, technical support, marketing, event management, photography/videography, and
overall event operations. The remaining 85% is paid directly to the choreographer as their creative budget.
Each choreographer will work with a cast of 5–15 dancers, depending on the artistic requirements of the work. Dancers participate by registering through the choreographer for whom they wish to perform. Each cast is developed through a structured rehearsal and creative process, giving dancers the opportunity to perform in an original choreographic work, gain professional performance experience, build networking opportunities within the dance community, and be considered for future performance projects or training opportunities with participating choreographers. Each choreographer may also award up to two dancers with a full or partial scholarship toward future training within their own classes, workshops, or programs.
Each choreographer receives a structured creative process designed to support the development of an original work from concept to performance. Every work is created exclusively for NewWorks and is developed with dedicated rehearsal time, a committed cast of dancers, and a professionally curated performance platform.

Choreographers are welcome to rehearse in their own studios or book rehearsal space at Start Studios at a subsidized rate of ₹1,000 per hour, subject to availability.
